Marijuana & Vaping

With more and more teens vaping and using cannabis, we were asked to create a website and supporting print and presentation materials that provide parents and caregivers of kids and young adults under 25 with unbiased, scientifically-based information about marijuana and vaping. Marijuana and vaping have distinct, different and potentially deleterious effects on young people, and we created a place to house the latest research that would be updated on a regular basis.

Providing parents and caregivers the information they need to make wise decisions for the children in their care, Idea Engineering developed and launched the cannabis and vaping informational website, Cannabis and Vaping FactCheck, in collaboration with its client, Ventura County Behavioral Health.

The website delivers information about cannabis and vaping and includes a news section containing the latest research. It also provides information and resources for parents to help their teens stop vaping or using substances.

Along with the website, a local social media campaign was enacted to direct people towards the online resource. Also developed were printed materials including informational postcards and small pocket-sized booklets based on the Cannabis and Vaping FactCheck website for use at school presentations or community events. All materials were created in English and Spanish to account for the local community's demographics and needs.
